Deep Research
Deep web research that uncovers rare statistics, data, and insights from PDFs, PowerPoints, Word documents, and spreadsheets — all compiled into a downloadable research report.
What is Deep Research?
Deep Research is a powerful tool that performs deep web research on any topic. It searches through specialized document types — PDFs, PowerPoints, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and Google Docs/Sheets — from government, academic, and institutional sources to find rare statistics, data points, and insights that you won't find through a regular web search.
Each research report includes cited statistics with source URLs, publication years, file types, and recommendations for how to use each finding in your blog content.
Credit Cost
Each Research Writer outline generation costs 10 credits and creating a research paper costs an additional 50 credits. You must have sufficient daily credits before starting.
How It Works
Enter Your Topic
Navigate to the Research page and type in your research topic. Be as specific as possible for more targeted results (e.g., "Impact of AI on healthcare outcomes" rather than just "AI").
Select Document Types
Choose which document formats to search through: PDF, PowerPoint (PPT), Word (DOC), Excel (XLSX), Google Docs, and Google Sheets. By default, the most common types are pre-selected.
Create Outline for Research
Click "Create Outline for Research (10 Credits)" and wait 1–2 minutes. The system searches through multiple databases including government (.gov), academic (.edu), and institutional sources to find relevant statistics and data points.
Download Your Outline
Once complete, you'll see a summary of all found statistics. Download the research outline as a .docx file with cited sources, hyperlinks, and usage recommendations.
Create Research Paper (Optional)
Click "Create Research Paper (50 Credits)" to turn your outline into a full, publication-ready research paper. The AI will analyze all statistics, add expert context, and produce a comprehensive .docx document. This step costs an additional 50 credits and takes several minutes. You can leave the page while it runs and return to Asset Papers. Progress is saved between sections; a retry resumes saved work without another success charge.
What's in the Report
Each research report is a professionally formatted .docx document containing:
Managing Your Papers
All your generated research papers are saved and accessible from the Asset Papers page in the sidebar. From there you can:
- Download any previously generated research report
- View the topic, date, status, and document types for each paper
- Delete papers you no longer need
- Push featured images directly into your research paper from the Visualizer or Featured Images page
Friendly Publishable Asset
Once a research paper is ready, click Create Simple Asset (40 credits) on the completed-paper screen or the Asset Papers page to create a Friendly Publishable Asset. It turns the paper into an easy-to-read, shareable blog post with 5–8 charts and stat graphics built from the paper's real numbers, 3–5 inline source links, and a full References list at the end. It costs 40 credits (charged when you click the button) and runs in the background; when it's done, a download button appears in the same spot. Writing and each infographic run as saved background stages. Optional brand colors are preserved. You can leave and return; the Word download is prepared when you return.
In the Visualizer, choose From Research Paper and keep Use Friendly Publishable Assetticked to create images from the friendly version, then click Push Images to Friendly Publishable Assetto add them into the downloadable file.
Tips for Best Results
- Be specific: "Remote work productivity statistics 2024" will yield better results than just "remote work".
- Select all document types: Different formats contain different types of data — spreadsheets often have raw numbers, while PDFs have detailed reports.
- Try different angles: If your first search doesn't return enough results, rephrase or narrow your topic.
- Use for content enrichment: The statistics found make excellent supporting evidence for blog posts and articles generated with the main Writer.
